FOREIGN LANGUAGE ACTIVITY / ENGLISH
Our Goals:
Every child who has acquired their native language and can use it accurately and properly, is ready to learn a second language. Children notice in a short amount of time that they can use their natural ability to learn their native language to learn a foreign language as well. As we aim to educate our students as world citizens, in order for them to successfully use English throughout their lives, we will ensure that they adopt the language as their own. From kindergarten to high school, our English program is carried out as a whole. In this vertical structure our aim for students who graduate from primary school are as follows;

  • to enable students to interpret various issues using English as a means
  • to aspire them to think critically and analytically
  • to enhance their written and oral skills in English

The foundations for these skills are cast in kindergarten and are popularized by incorporating fun English activities.
Activity hours:
4 years – 5 activity hours
5 years – 10 activity hours
6 years – 10 activity hours
* An hour of activity is precisely 40 minutes. The number of hours for specified activities is valid for applications carried out ​​in class. Morning gym, kitchen activities, free play time applications such as speaking English corners, and "Live English" events are some of the activities carried out in class.

Kindergarten students are required to participate in all of the following events. For these age groups varying experiences are provided for our students, and their interests and abilities are fostered throughout this process, as it can also be done in the context of guidance for their primary educations.
"PICK A WISH, LIGHT THE WAY FOR A CHILD" PROJECT
Everything starts by making a wish real. Pick an envelope if you want to see the light in a child's eyes, the smile on their face and feel their happiness. You will find the dreams of children in Artvin inside the envelopes hanging on the New Year tree, which will become real with "Pick a Wish, LIGHT the way for a Child" project*.
Each envelope is a hope; every child is a "LIGHT".
*Our kindergarten students will choose an envelope and take it home to their parents in December to take the first step in realizing a child's dream in Artvin before the New Year.

GYMNASTICS
Preschool children have an immense need to move, expressing themselves via motion is one of the most wholesome and entertaining opportunities for children. During Gymnastics activities which are aimed to provide these opportunities, students learn what they can do with their bodies, recognize their own skills, and gain self-confidence. Besides, they develop muscle coordination, endurance, strength and flexibility during various domain-specific activities. With teamwork, they experience cooperation, solidarity, tolerance, sharing, being respectful to their friends and expressing themselves appropriately. In addition, the habit of sports which children will develop in their future life is founded.

SWIMMING
Considering the age of the kindergarten students, swimming is as important and necessary as gymnastics. In the semi olympic sized pool which is located in our campus, Students, accompanied by swimming coaches, have fun while learning the technical aspects.
THE VISUAL ARTS
Visual arts are the most important tool for the students to express themselves emotionally, know themselves, develop personality and socialise. The course aims to promote social and emotional development whilst being supported with arts education, desired artistic knowledge, skills, the perspective of visual arts and talents which will be matured and improved throughout life.

MUSIC
Regardless of the level of musical talent, each child has music in their life, and each child enjoys being a part of at least one musical activity. Some of these activities are playing an instrument individually or collectively, singing songs, dancing and being a good music listener. Therefore, the child is directed towards whichever above-mentioned activity that he expresses himself better in and the aim is that he gains general love and appreciation for music.

CHESS
Chess is an activity which provides children with the opportunity to develop strategical abilities in an enjoyable way and can build cultural bridges. Since chess is played all over the world, children learn the universal language of a game. With this activity, students develop problem-solving, strategy development ability and decision making. Besides this, with events like national and international chess tournaments in our school, students have benefits in different aspects, some of which are sportsmanship, being modest after a win and aiming not to give up after a loss

BALLET/MODERN DANCE
Children express thoughts or feelings via movement and they enjoy performing with "dance", which is a universal language. In this context, the aim of the ballet/modern dance activity is to develop coordination, balance, flexibility, durability, aesthetics and discipline skills.

COMPUTER
One of the biggest advances in educational technology has been the introduction of the computer to the educational process. Through the use of computers, we can say that the quality of education has risen and it has increased stimulation and developed the reinforcement process. In pre-school education, the usage and the duration of the computer assisted approach is an important issue. Computer activities are carried out considering the child's best interests and implemented in the specified period of the weekly program. It supports to reinforce conceptual skills in mathematics and language as well as the development of fine motor skills.
